The main prize is an 8-day photo safari in January-June for 2 persons at Maasai Mara in Kenya, at the Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp. The prize includes a Toyota Land Cruiser specially modified for nature photography, including low perspective shots, plus a Maasai guide and driver, national park fees, lodging in a private safari tents, all meals and non alcoholic drinks, and a return ticket from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Maasai Mara, including extra luggage. Total value: NOK 80.000.

About Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp
Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp is located within the Maasai Mara in Kenya and was established in 2017 by nature photographer Arnfinn Johansen and Maasai guide John Siololo, also known as Big John. The camp is aimed at fulfilling the needs of professional nature photographers and photography enthusiasts, and the guides at the camp have many years of experience working with nature photographers with high demands. With the best guides, and Land Cruisers modified specifically for photography – for both bird’s-eye and low perspective – the guests are guaranteed amazing nature experiences and first-class photos. They will provide full-day safaris with both breakfast and lunch served on the savannah. This enables the guests to photograph in the best light conditions, including sunrise and sunset. Normally you are out for 13-14 hours every day. Dinner is served back at camp in the evening.

Oltepesi offers comfortable lodgings in new and spacious safari tents. The tents resemble “hotel rooms on the savannah,” with a private bathroom with a shower, sink, and water-closet. The camp is located at Oltepesi Village, which is a genuine Maasai village. In this way, visitors have the unique opportunity to also get acquainted with the culture of the Maasai people, which is rich in tradition. If desired, it is also possible for guests to stay in a genuine Maasai hut. Photographing and filming is, of course, completely unrestricted – you can feel completely at home here, and there’s no need to ask permission first.
